Position Summary:

Manage/Supervise all aspects of operations as it relates to 24 x 7 NGL Control Room Operations.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of an NGL Control room for safe and efficient operations
  • Effective communication and interaction with all Third Party pipelines and Control Centers for day to day transactions
  • Oversee the scheduling, organization, and implementation of NGL Control projects
  • Understand all applicable State and Federal regulatory requirements that affect control room operations
  • Validation and review of communication infrastructure
  • Coordinate NGL flows
  • Emergency response coordination and execution
  • Leak Detection Application and system monitoring
  • OQ Training/Documentation for Controllers.
  • DOT required emergency drills/procedures
  • Management of Change and Standard Operating Procedure documentation and implementation
  • Technical resource and project coordinator which may require development of new or improved processes or work flows.
  • Interface with multiple clients/customers (e.g. Commercial, Operations, Technical Services, etc) as well as outside vendors and contractors.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to NGL Control personnel.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Relevant industry specific and control center experience, pipeline operations, knowledge of pipeline assets, SCADA and leak detection systems.  
  • Working knowledge of financials, business processes, pipeline hydraulics, communication infrastructure, management of change processes, bulletin boards, and measurement.  

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.  
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communications and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry / control room experience
  • Prefer candidate who has had previous NGL/Crude/Petrochemical control management experience

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to navigate within field and process facilities and around equipment in a safe manner. 
  • Some travel with over night stays may be also be required.
