Job Summary
Our Field Operator/Line Locator will be responsible for protecting the infrastructure encompassing all of DCP’s pipelines in West Texas. This role will be responsible for responding to one call request, maintaining GIS mapping systems, and identifying dead legs and other pipe segments that are candidates for abandonment.  

Day-To_Day   
Respond on time in accordance to company policies to one calls generated through the Texas 811 call center. Handle incoming emergency one calls and dig up tickets within allotted time frame. 

What You Will Be Responsible For
•Keep up with incoming one call tickets in designated assigned area daily by accurately locating and marking all pipelines within scope of request.
•Report inaccuracies within mapping systems daily to GIS personnel
•Generate reports to show suggestions for improving pipeline and operational efficiencies. This include recommendations to idle or abandon certain pipe segments.
•Maintain and operate company vehicle in accordance to policies. 
•Update and install new pipeline permanent markers where needed. 
•Assist Pipeline Field Operators when needed with scheduled and unscheduled activities, including shut ins, valve maintenance, pigging operations etc.
•Acquire and maintain required level qualifications and DOT OQ status in all Field Operator disciplines.  
•Perform lock out/tag out procedures and may monitor field compressor status through the use of SCADA
•Responsible for completing and submitting work orders through Maximo 
•May Oversee issuing all facility permits 


Requirements
•High school diploma or GED
•Must live or be willing to relocate to within 35 miles of the reporting location
•Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
•Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs
•2-3 years’ experience locating pipelines or other utilities
